International High School Reception Programme (Years 7 to 13)
A high school programme that combines English language and one or more academic subjects. It aims to provide international students with the English language skills required to achieve success in a full high school programme.

The reception programme is also available to students who want to raise their English language proficiency within a school environment amongst New Zealand students.

Students are gradually integrated into the mainstream classes as they develop their language skills. At the commencement of the programme, students take Mathematics, English and Physical Education.

At the end of each term, students are tested for English competency. As their competency in English improves, additional academic subjects are added to their programme.
In cases where the student has performed to the required standard, they may progress to a full high school programme of study.
