GENERAL ENGLISH

There are three General English couses
GE1   15 hours General English. Monday - Friday 10 am to 1 pm
GE2   30 hours General English. Monday - Friday 10 am to 1 pm & 2-5 pm
GE3   15 hours General English. Monday - Friday 10 am to 1 pm & Afternoon activities

• Classes are very small with an average of 4 students per class (Sep - June) and 8 students per class (July - August)

• We offer six different levels of General English from Beginners to Advanced. 

• All students are tested on arrival to place them in the class that best suits their ability and age. 

• Levels are closely co-ordinated and monitored to allow students to move up if they are getting ahead of other students in the class 

• In the General English programme we concentrate on speaking and listening skills as well as essential grammar and vocabulary, thus we do a lot of work on fluency and accuracy in English. 

• Conversation activities are personalised, allow all students the encouragement to express themselves and speak from their experiences and thus share a rich variety of cultural knowledge. 

• Daily tasks guarantee that all class time is reinforced  by daily reviews. 

• Classes are available throughout the year. 

• A certificate of attendance and achievement is presented to each student

BUSINESS ENGLISH

BE1    15 hours Business English
BE2    30 hours Business English

We can also make a combination of General English & Business English if you wish.

The items covered on the course follow a functional/situational ethos. We will teach you how to cope in certain situations.  Some of the situations covered include (obviously you could pick which units you preferred to study) If there are other particular items you wish to study please inform us and we would be delighted to include these.

Classes are available throughout the year. A certificate of attendance and achievement is presented to each student.

We believe in using as much authentic material as possible. If participants wish we can integrate materials (e.g. reports, journals, company brochures, web sites) that he participant sends or brings with them.

ONE-TO-ONE TUITION

• Students can receive one-to-one tuition for excellent results. 

• These courses are suited to people who wish to make rapid improvement over a short space of time. 

• These sessions may also suit complete beginners who may not wish to be placed  in a ‘populated' classroom. 

• All courses offered to groups can be offered on a one-to-one basis. 

• Alternatively we can tailor make a course to meet your specific requirements. 

• Classes are available throughout the year. 

• A certificate of attendance and achievement is presented to each student.

Fees include

• Free transport from Killarney train or bus station or from Kerry International Airport

• An information pack with maps and guides as well as a portfolio with a weekly plan of classes,

• Bus transport to and from School.

• All course materials and books
  Free access to the self-access room.

• A certificate of attendance and achievement on completion of the course.

• No enrolement fees

• No application fees

• No Accommodation finders fee

Terms & Conditions

• All prices are inclusive of registration fees.

• The school has full public liability insurance; however, you are encouraged if you are travelling from outside the EU to bring your own medical insurance.

• Students within the EU should bring their social security E111 forms.

• All students should have travel insurance.

• A deposit of one weeks fees is required, the balance to be paid one week in advance of starting.

2 Visa or MasterCard

3 By cheque or postal order made to 'Killarney School of English'

Refunds
In the event of your visa application being unsuccessful (non-EU students) then all fees will be refunded minus bank fees.
No refunds can be given for late arrivals or early departures.
